Weston HC Junior Section Newsletter - Thursday 4th of September
Dear Parents,
I hope you all had a lovely summer break and I am delighted to welcome you all back to Weston HC for another fun and exciting season ahead. It’s always wonderful to see our pitch full of amazing junior players all enjoying their hockey. I would like to take the opportunity also to welcome all our new members and I hope you will enjoy your experience with us.
CLubzap
The club has moved from Clubforce to Clubzap, please download the app and sign up to Weston HC. Here you can pay for the club membership and keep up to date with the latest news within the club. Our aim for the junior section this season is to use Clubzap for training announcements and match information for each team reducing our reliance on Whatsapp, please bear with us as the parent managers set this up in the coming weeks.
HI Insurance
Please ensure you have Hockey Ireland insurance for the season ahead to cover your insurance and this allows you to play Leinster leagues also. https://hockey.ie/membership/
Team Selection
Our 6th class to 4th year juniors are currently being assessed, this allows all players the opportunity to try out for teams. Our coaches are working hard selecting these squads, this certainly is a challenging task and a lot of time is put in to ensure your daughter is placed on a team suitable to their level & ability. We hope to have squads finalised by the end of September and any queries or concerns please direct them to the coaches.
Our aim is always to create a fun, positive & challenging experience for every player. The first league games start back on Sunday 5th of Oct and in the coming weeks your parent manager will communicate the match calendar for the season ahead.
